Drove down from Tampa with 2 buddies, a 3rd friend drove up from Ft. Lauderdale. Been playing in Sebring 2x a year on a guys trip since 1996 and have played every course in the area except this course. This was a "scouting trip" for the day to check it out. Brad is very enthusiastic and is very proud of the course, the money spent ($8M), and especially the greens. I called him the day before (its 4.5 hours round trip - wanted to make sure it was worth it) and he said they were a 10 on the stimp, best in the area. Based on his enthusiasm, we all wanted to love the course and conditions, but, sadly, it was really pretty terrible. One of my buddies commented it's the worst course any of us has played in 30 years. He's not wrong. They asked us to write a review, and to give it 5 stars. I'd love to do that. I really would. But, come on, it's so so bad. My buddies told me not to post a review, called me names, said it wasn't cool. Maybe it's not cool. But it's accurate. And people these days are soft. As Jordan Peterson's rule #8 says, "Tell the Truth, or at Least, Dont Lie". I gotta call 'em like I see 'em. If they spent $8M we couldn't see it. Took a picture of the 1st or 2nd green we played, posted that image below, after we were shocked at the conditions of the greens after the hype. Also a pic of the fire ants because Brad said they were everywhere but now are all gone. Its fine, nobody was devoured by ants. However, they are still ant piles all over the place. That said, we still had a great time. Go there if you want a cheap round with an enthusiastic team ready to give you great service but don't care much about course conditions. They also gave us free range balls. Took us 4 hours to play, nice and quick, and we teed off 10:15am on a weekend, which is great. The folks we met who played that day were all friendly.

If your expecting a course like your home town, you won't find it anywhere in Florida under $100. Please remember this course closed down 3 years ago. Upside is: New owners have spent in excess of 8 mills to bring it back. Staff is amazing, carts are the best and new. Knowing that, I give it a 4 star for this area. Greens are huge, hard, fast, some still need work, so don't expect a true roll as they are still new. . Fairway's are nice yet hard like most down here, layout is also a 4 star some very challenging for a mid to high Handicap. Overall this one is in my top 5 around here, Down side is: No cart paths red clay, no yardage markers from tees, Only 10% of the bunkers are white fluffy sand, the rest are red clay and very hard, they use a tractor to rake them, and why most putt or chip out of them. Tee off's are just ok, wish all of them, even some back home, would fill them in better and roll them flat. A cheep fix, cannot understand why most don't. Like most say, nothing moves or gets done to fast in Florida lol. Difficult to find hole to hole, they do have "some" makeshift signs pointing to next hole . Overall, there are around 12 courses in Lake Placid/Sebring, I have live here 5 years and a accomplished 65 year old golfer from Michigan, seen many in my time. I would put this at my #4th best for this area, hopefully in a few more years, it could be my #1/2. Will I bring my friends here next week, YES!

I read another gentleman's review of this golf course in couldn't agree less less. Maybe he went in the early stages in the greens were quite right yet but I have been there a few times now on the greens have been excellent the fairways have been pretty good and after all if you're not paying $200 then you shouldn't expect the fairways to be perfect. The greens were great the fairways we're fine and the greens like I said we're in great shape. The course was challenging and we enjoyed it and the price was very good. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very homey Ranch like and nice cool air conditioning in cold beer. I'm not sure a person could ask for much more for the price. I met with the owner Joel what a nice guy he was. And the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful to including Brad at the pro shop and a nice lady I forgot whom I have forgotten her name

The golf course still needs some work but still enjoyable. Had lunch at the Speakeasy after golf. The prices were good and the food was amazing. Thanks to our server Chelsea. She was incredible. We were on the outside patio but she still kept checking on us. Very impressed.

My first experience here in many years. It's easy to see there has much money poured into the property and improvements are everywhere. The course is in a beautiful setting with a real old Florida appeal. The staff was friendly and trying hard to please the customers. The quality of the golf course however is still a big work in progress and will likely improve more over time. Cudos for the good start to rebounding back.
